You can try a bit of everything or focus on a discipline you wish to master. - Do you offer pottery and clay wheel classes?Yes! We run pottery classes for adults and children, including hand-building, clay wheel throwing, and sculpting. We paint and glaze tiles in azulejo traditional style, also using modern spraying, dipping techniques, etc. You will learn to shape, glaze, and finish your pieces, enjoying the satisfying, meditative process of working with clay in our fully equipped ceramics studio. On request, we run Portuguese Tile Painting Workshops and a Bordallo Pinheiro -cabbage leaf plate workshop. Our instructors are passionate and skilled, and give you personal attention.
- Who can join AAA classes?We welcome kids, teens, and adults – from absolute beginners to experienced artists who want to expand their skills. Our classes are inclusive, encouraging, and inspiring for all levels.

– Or visit us in person for a warm welcome and a small tour.. - Do I need any experience to join?No experience is needed. We provide step-by-step guidance, clear demonstrations, and individual support, so you feel confident and creative.
- Can I try a class before committing?Yes, trial classes are available for most of our programs so you can experience our environment and teaching style before enrolling in a term or workshop.
- What should I bring?We provide all materials unless noted otherwise. Just bring yourself, comfy clothes, and your curiosity. If you would like to work on your own art or a personal project bring it along!
- Do you run art camps during holidays?Yes, we host holiday art camps and summer immersive art journeys for kids and teens, blending painting, sculpture, clay, games, and creative challenges..
- Do you offer art parties and private workshops?Absolutely! We host birthday parties, family art days, sip and paint nights, private workshops, and team-building art events. Let us know your vision, and we’ll bring it to life.
- Where are you located?We’re perfectly located close to everything! AAA is at the end of Quarteira, right where Fonte Santa begins in the Algarve:

At AAA, you’ll find a clean, spacious, light-filled studio, a pottery kiln room, a digital lab-meeting room, and a garden that suits plein air creativity and urban sketching.
It’s the perfect place to dive into art, unwind, and spark your creativity by the sea.
Private events Section:
Private events are usually for groups of 5–10 participants. For smaller or larger groups, please contact us to discuss options. We also conduct offsite events.
What’s included in the price?
All art materials, wine & snacks, professional hosting, and if requested; a live model.
How long is each event?
Each event lasts about 3 hours or more, typically booked on Thursday to Sunday evenings.
Can I choose the activity?
Yes! You can select from pottery, “blind” sculpting, fluorescent abstract painting, self-portrait in the style of art history, or request a custom theme.
Do you offer family-friendly options?
Yes, we also run creative formats specially tailored for children’s birthdays and family events at a lower rate.
How do I book?
Send us a request through the contact form on the web site or WhatsApp. We usually reply within 1–2 working days, and the final price may vary depending on your chosen format.
Membership FAQs
How your membership works
How many classes do I get? Bronze gives you 4 classes a month. Silver and Gold give you 8 classes a month. You can use them on any adult painting or pottery class, in any mix you like.
When does my membership start? The day you join. Your month runs from that date, not from the 1st of the calendar month.
Do unused classes carry over? No. Your classes reset each month, so book them before your month ends.
Can someone else use my membership or code? No. Your membership and booking code are personal to you. If you'd like to bring a friend, ask about a guest pass (Open Studio) or the guest offer on Annual Gold.
Can I upgrade or downgrade between Bronze, Silver and Gold? You can upgrade any time by paying the difference. A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal.
Booking classes with your code
How do I book a class? After you join, we email you a personal booking code within one working day. Choose a class at algarvearts.academy/courses1, type your code in the coupon box and confirm. Nothing is charged.
How many times can I use my code? Monthly members: 4 times (Bronze) or 8 times (Silver and Gold), until the end date in your email. Annual members: one code for the whole year, covering 4 or 8 classes a month.
What happens when my code runs out or expires? Monthly members get a new code each month when their plan renews. Annual members keep one code for the year.
I've lost my code. What do I do? Reply to your booking code email or message us on WhatsApp on +351 911 575 403 and we'll send it again.
How far ahead can I book? Your code works for bookings until its end date.
Changing, cancelling and pausing your membership
Can I change or cancel a class? Yes. Tell us at least 48 hours before the class and it goes back to your allowance. With less notice, or if you don't come, the class counts as used.
What if the studio cancels my class? The class goes back to your allowance and we'll let you know.
Can I cancel my membership? Monthly members can cancel any time. Please tell us before your next renewal date so you aren't charged for another month. Annual members, see Refunds below.
Can I pause my membership? Yes, if you ask us. We can pause your membership for up to one month, for example for a holiday or illness. Ask before your renewal date.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else? Once, with our approval. Ask us at the studio or by message.
Refunds
Can I change my mind in the first 14 days? Yes. If you joined online, you have 14 days from the day you joined to cancel for a full refund, minus any classes you have already used, which are charged at our drop-in price of €35 each.
Can I get a refund after 14 days? Monthly memberships are not refunded for the current month, but you can cancel before your next renewal. Annual memberships are not refunded after 14 days, because the annual price already includes a discount for committing for a year.
Are there any exceptions? We look at each case, for example serious illness (with a doctor's note), moving away, or if we cannot provide your classes. Where we agree, we refund the unused months at the monthly price, not the annual one.
What can you offer instead of a refund? We can pause your membership for up to one month, transfer it to someone else once with our approval, or give you a credit for classes or the shop. Just ask us.
