5 Days of Creative Wonder
This February half-term, Algarve Art Academy welcomes children to the Dream Factory, where nature and imagination come together. Across five fun-filled days, kids will explore sculpture, drawing, collage, and group projects. The focus isn’t on perfect technique, but on telling stories, building creative confidence, and enjoying the process.

Plant the Creativity seed and learn basics of Interior design !
Each day, children explore a new creative theme using simple, accessible materials such as air-drying clay, tempera, fabric scraps, cardboard. Coupled with lots of imagination, they’ll create a vibrant indoor “bloom room” that parents are invited to visit at the end of the week.

The Land Awakens
Materials: Air-dry clay, paper and tempera

We begin by sculpting the foundations of our dream world. Landscapes filled with hills, caves, gardens, and glowing valleys.
Focus: foundational sculpture, paper modelling, tactile exploration, colour expression

The Dream Keepers
Materials: Pencils and coloured markers and coloured paper

Who lives in this world? Children invent guardian creatures and nature spirits, drawing their forms and imagining how they live, move, and speak.
Focus: character design, creative writing, visual storytelling

The Garden of Whimsy
Materials: Recycled textures, fabric, paper, string, collage
Using mixed materials, children create a hands-on sensory fantastical plants, creatures, and hybrid forms. Each with unique spring powers like colour blooming or wind whispering.
Focus: sustainability, mixed media exploration, creative freedom

The Festival of Wonders
Materials: Cardboard and hand-drawn azulejo patterns
We build celebration spaces: totems, banners, arches, or centrepieces for a springtime Festival of Renewal. Children decorate their creations with hand-drawn tile motifs, inspired by Portuguese azulejos.
Focus: collaborative installation, pattern design, cultural connection

The Bloom Room
Materials: Paint pens, paper, cardboard, recycled elements
Children become curators and hosts as we transform the studio into a living installation entitled the “Bloom Room.”
Families are invited to explore the space and hear the stories behind the works.
Focus: presentation, storytelling, shared celebration
